This was one truly beautiful wedding at the bride's parents' home in the foothills of the Los Angeles Mountains here in Southern California. The story goes that the two newlyweds (the bride's parents' bought an old Spanish style home, badly in need of repair on many acres of land). Over the next 30 years, the couple raised two daughters, all the while renovating the home and planting the entire property with trees and botanical selections that best suit the region, including a huge collection of protea. So, of course, we used protea in the wedding flowers!
Mackenzie and Stefan were married on this gorgeous family party the weekend of Mother's Day which is one of our busiest weeks of the year. But, you know what??? Our wonderful staff didn't even miss a beat and totally nailed this wedding, as well as pulling off another fantastic Mother's Day!
Cheers to this lovely couple! We would love to revisit this property someday when we have a chance to take it all in!
